Hill top restaurant

Felt pen/ink on layout paper.  21(h) x 30(w) cm

Typical of architectural images, slick with punchy drama, this was a design for a cantilevered restaurant offered out of a hillside like an outstretched palm to give its occupants panoramic views.

The sketch tries to suggest long views with the sweeping lines leading in and out of the subject from all directions - it's not concerned with foreground. The economic use of colour is just suggestive, not distracting.
